But all is not lost because on 30th April 2022, Marathon Girl is running the Virtual Online World Marathon Girl Day. This online event is your chance to join other like-minded women and run a virtual marathon around your local neighbourhood.
It’s a simple concept. The circumference of the world is 24,901 miles. Divide 24,901 by 26.2 miles (a marathon distance) and we get 950. So, we want 950 girls just like you to join us and run World Marathon Girl Day. Together,
The Marathon Girl Challenge is a unique training program that coaches you through all the aspects of becoming a marathon runner. It is especially designed for women who are relatively new to the sport.
You will learn the 4 core pillars of becoming a successful marathon runner.
Up until now, marathon coaching programs have been generic and written mostly by men. Which is a problem because men are genetically different to us women. They have higher testosterone levels and lower fat stores than us, so their bodies respond differently to certain training and nutrition.
By following a program specifically designed for women, you will become fitter, stronger, leaner and quicker and you’ll be in peak condition to conquer World Marathon Girl Day.
My name is Kerry Fitzgibbon and I am a mum of two. I started running marathons in my 30’s after competing in triathlons and adventure racing in my teens and twenties.
After failing to find a program to improve my running that worked for me, I decided to hunt out the best marathon coaches, nutrition experts, and mindset mentors I could. I paid them thousands of dollars to train me and put together a structured training program that was specifically designed for women like me.
Following this program, I ran my second marathon over 32 minutes quicker than my first. Since then I have run over 40 marathons including the world-famous Boston Marathon in 2016.
Now I’m the proud owner of international sportswear brand Marathon Girl® and I help other women by teaching them everything I’ve learned so they can use that knowledge to improve their own marathon journeys.
My name is Jen Beveridge my love for health and fitness inspired me to do my Bachelors Degree in Sport and Exercise Science, where I majored in Sport Psychology and was most passionate about the mind and its influence on sport performance and human behaviour.
Alongside this study I began my 20 years of coaching and competing in Sport Aerobics at both National and International levels. Inspired by challenges and getting out of my comfort zone, I then switched to marathon running and Ironman Triathlons which have been my passion ever since.
During all these wonderful life experiences I realised that what truly lights my fire is when I am helping others achieve their goals and grow to live as their highest selves.
We were fortunate enough to run 7 marathons in 7 days in 7 states together in 2019 for Bravehearts. On our 7 days together we realised we had a very similar passion for running and inspiring others. This lead us to working together in fundraising efforts, training and developing the Marathon Girl Challenge In 2020 we ran 10 Marathons in 10 Days. And this year (2021) we did 13 Marathons in 13 days. What we learnt out of all these back-to-back marathon experience gave us an even greater insight into how we can coach and support other women like you on your marathon journey.
